• Reserving your session
Once we have both agreed on a date, you will be receiving an email from me with a contract, a questionnaire to help me get to know your family and to best serve you, and an invoice for your session fee. The session fee is payable in advance to reserve your spot and is non-refundable. After those have all been completed your welcome box will be mailed to you. This will help prep you for our session together! * if we are booking a last minute session you will get you prep guide via email and receive your box of goodies in person.
• Pre session consultation and wardrobe guidance
After completing your session reservation, we will schedule a time to chat about planning and styling your session. We will finalize your location, session time and talk about wardrobe options. I am here to help with styling your session and make it as stress-free as possible. It’s a very hands-on process but also very fun! I have started a collection of beautiful boutique style dresses that are perfect and very flattering for maternity sessions and postpartum mommas. I have sizes that range from S-L. You do not have to wear my dresses, but it is included and you’re invited to wear them. For newborn sessions, I mostly recommend white or light colored clothing with no patterns/logos for a clean and timeless look. I am here to help with styling for the rest of the family.
• The portrait experience
It’s time for your session! Let’s make some precious memories. If you have scheduled a Signature Session, you can expect your session to take 45 minutes to 1 hour long. If we are doing a newborn session, that does take about 2 hours. Petite Sessions are 20 minutes long.
Studio portrait sessions are very relaxed . My natural light studio is located in Plantation. The studio is warm , bright and with a minimalist set up. This allows to focus on your family’s bonds . The studio sessions usually take place in the morning when the light is soft and bounces off the white walls beautifully.
Outdoor family sessions are a great idea regardless of the time of year. They usually take place in the evening during the golden hour, to capture those beautifully lit images.
You can choose your own location for a photoshoot or can pick from the locations I usually shoot at. Outdoor family photography allows us to capture both posed portraits and those fleeting, candid moments. Perfect for families with active kids too :)
Whether you choose studio or outdoor session , I wil try to make it a fun, stress-free experience. We will have a great time and get some great photos, so please relax and enjoy your session.
• After your session
In about 2-3 weeks your gallery reveal will be ready. All ordering appointments are done virtually for your convenience. You will then be given a few options for dates for your online gallery ordering to begin. With your online gallery live, you will be able to browse through all of your beautiful images and all the options I have for artwork. This includes your proofs, frame options, album options, and more. You can schedule a phone call with me during that time to place your order at the end of your gallery window.
