Where do you live and how far will you travel?
I live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida but am willing to travel anywhere within the US (inquire about destination pricing and travel fees). I specialize in South Florida weddings, which includes the areas of West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Key Largo, Islamorada, & Key West. Remember, I have a my #bucketlist and would love some help fulfilling it.
Why do you want to know our wedding color?
It may seem odd that I ask to know what wedding color (and specific shade) you chose. But there's a reason behind it and I happen to think it's pretty cool. On your wedding day, I'll be sporting a shirt, cardigan, hair bow, or accessory that reflects that color because I am just as stoked to be part of your day as you are to be living it.
Is the non-refundable reservation fee required?
In order to secure my photographic services for your date, yes it is required. This applies to any and all session types and photographic coverage I provide. But rest assured, the non-refundable reservation fee will go toward the total final cost.
How do we book you? When is the balance due? And do you have payment plans?
A signed agreement and a $500 non-refundable reservation fee is all that is required to secure your date. Go to the contact page to send me a message so that we can get the ball rolling (and maybe meet for coffee or tea!). After the $500 non-refundable reservation fee, the remaining balance is due in monthly installments from now to up to 30 days before your weeding.
When will we get our photos?
Final, fully edited wedding galleries will be delivered within 4-6 weeks from your wedding date, along with its password to help protect your privacy and a download pin and print release (both in the email and the gallery).
For albums (& other products), you can expect delivery within 30-45 days of placing your order, unless it's a special order. Your online gallery is LIVE for up to one year from the date it's posted (when I email it to you).
Do you blog all your weddings?
Not always. I love blogging weddings and love all the ones I have had the privilege to photograph. It just really depends on what you're doing for your wedding and how unique you choose to get. The more unique the better and more likely it'll be blogged, so get creative!
Do you work with a second photographer?
Yes. We can arrange for a second shooter, depending on your needs… Having a second photographer on the team can be great at capturing alternate angle as well as documenting things that may be happening during your wedding there when I'm at another location. Having a second shooter will yield 15% more images to the final gallery.
Do you edit all of our photos?
Yes. All photos are hand-edited, one at a time to adjust temperature, tint, exposure, recovery, fill light, blacks, brightness, contrast, clarity, vibrance, saturation and tone curves. This includes the images captured by the second photographer as well. More extensive retouching costs can be discussed if needed.
Why do you offer Black and White (BW) duplicates? Is it extra?
My first few years of college educations in photography were spent learning to craft and love BW darkroom photography. I loved it so much that, to this day, find those beautiful and rich BW shots to be so timeless. So much so that I just want to give them to you. For free. Just because. Enjoy!
How many photos will we receive? (Weddings)
The number of photos delivered varies depending on many things including the package you choose, the scale of your wedding, the size of your wedding party, etc. On average, a wedding with unlimited day coverage will receive 1000+ photos (with one shooter.)
Do you do elopements or civil court marriages?
Yes I do! Running away and getting married can be such an adventure and I would be stoked to tag along and capture the love, excitement, and adrenaline of your day, no matter how short or long! Let me know what you have in mind and I will create a custom package just for you!
What about marriage proposals?
Yes, Yes and Yes - Always!!!! I love being part of the big moment when the love of your life will be surprised by your questions. I love it so much that I want to photograph it for FREE. Yup, you heard right: Free. I will give you 30-45 minutes of my time and talent to capture your love. You'll also get two digital negatives to download and keep of your choice! And, if you happen to book me for your wedding for at least 6 hours you'll get the gallery at no extra cost because I love LOVE that much! Gnarly, right?! Shoot me a line and let me hear your big plans to pop the question!
What types of weddings do you shoot?
Absolutely! Catholic, non-denominational Christian, Jewish, LGBTQ, Indian, Asian, black, white, green, blue, red, traditional, in the north pole, in the south pole, on a boat, in a plane, out-of-the-box, in-the-box, next-to-the-box, atop Everest, or spelunking down a cave, above Angel's Fall, and below the oldest tree in the world. I love LOVE and will be stoked to capture whatever your imagination and creativity comes up with when it comes to how you want to celebrate it.
We want to book you. How do we do that?
First thing to do is send me a message from my contact page inquiring about the specific session you're looking to do. After that, a signed agreement and a 50% non-refundable reservation fee will be required to book the session. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your session.
What should we wear?
For your wedding, whatever you want. For family/engagement/portrait sessions, I always recommend sticking with mostly solid colors. If you are going to be photographed with a large group of people (parents with children and/or perhaps with extended family as well), I always suggest coordinating the wardrobe without going matchy-matchy. It's not the 90's so leave your white-shirt-and-jeans-for-everyone at home. The best way to avoid this is to choose a 2-4 colors for your palette and have everyone wear what they love within that palette. This way, the images will have a cohesive look without looking like the Brady Bunch.
Where should we do our session?
Florida is jam-packed with amazing sceneries for your portrait session. If your a sand a surf kind of person, let's go to a beach you love. We have 1300+ miles of coast line to choose from (I shoot state-wide).
If you're more of an urban dweller, let's hit the streets of your favorite South Florida City and capture perfection with twinkling city lights for a backdrop.
More of the rustic kind? Thankfully it doesn't take going far to find beautiful rustic environments to capture beautiful images.
When will we get our photos?
Documentary family sessions will receive the link to the gallery 3-4 weeks after your session. Traditional family sessions are delivered 2-3 weeks after the session date. Mini and Micro session will be delivered within 10 days of the session. Fresh 48 hospital session are guaranteed to be delivered with all black and white images 48-72 hours after the session unless color editing is to be done unless color images are requested.
Final Print for My First Steps Micro session is available for pick-up 10 days after client has emailed final approval for the image.
For albums (& other products), you can expect delivery within 30-45 days of placing your order, unless it's a special order. Your online gallery is LIVE for up to one year from the date it's posted (when I email it to you). This applies to all types of sessions (including weddings) mentioned above.
How many photos will we receive?
